paper necklace and photographs
Jennifer likes to laugh at me. She says I have my own interesting sense of style. I say when a girl is tired of all the jewelry that she has and can't go buy something new she will make due with what she has, find a way to make something new for herself or go rob a bank. In high school I wore just about anything that I could tie around my neck as a necklace. In college (CWC) I wore a clear purple goggle strap as a necklace until it fell apart. So today while I was watching "Tomb Raider" and "With Honors" I took all of the wrappers from those Starburst and made a necklace and bracelet. (Made using the same method in "28 Days" with the gum wrappers.) Jennifer just shook her head at me and said I was weird. All I have to say is that it is nice and colorful and it was made by me and no one else will have one like it. So there. In completely unrelated news...well I guess they could kind of be related they both have to do with my creative talents. The other night Rachael from work was talking about going on vacation to Colorado with her boyfriend next summer. Then she was trying to figure out what states she would have to drive through and what way would be the fastest. Then she asked if Iowa was on the other side of Wyoming, she meant Idaho. Anyway, me being from that part of the country I felt the need to educate her a little. So I went and got the little atlas out of my car. She started looking at the different National Parks and touristy stuff that they could do. She was asking about Glacier National Park and Yellowstone and stuff and I just happened to have pictures of both of those places here in North Dakota with me. So I told her I would bring in pictures for her to look at. She was all surprised when I showed up at work with five little picture envelopes full of pictures. She said my photos are very nice. There was even one of one of the smaller waterfalls in Yellowstone that she thinks should be in a calendar. Then I had to explain that the pools in Yellowstone are not pools that you would want to go swimming in, unless you were planning on having your skin boiled off. Then Jenni asked if there wasn’t a place in Wyoming that had pools like that where you could go swimming. I explained that that was Thermopolis. I should have my parents go to the Chamber of Commerce and get a bunch of the little Wyoming pamphlets and send them up here so I could take them to Taco Bell. I guess my point is I’m not the only one that thinks my photography is good. Rachael thinks it is so good she just can’t wait to go see all the stuff in my pictures in real life.
