Friday Five for 9 May 2003

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
I try to be keep things organized, but it just turns into organized piles of junk that I need to take the time to go through.

2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
I write my work schedule down on the Lander Marine and Kawasaki calendar that my dad sent home with me at Christmas time. I also use that calendar to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries. Other then that I am kind of bad about that stuff now.
In high school I was a lot better at it because we were required to use planners. The school disguised planner checks by turning our planners into our bathroom/hall pass, if you didn't have a planner you didn't leave the classroom and if you weren't keeping track of your homework and doing poorly in classes you lost your opportunity for extra credit assignments.

3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
There are several small organized piles of crap on my desk but overall I would say it needs some work. The most organized part of my desk would be the basket of scrapbook stuff that is sorted into Ziploc bags according to what pages in the scrapbook will be made with them. I am looking forward to The misadventures of bonkrood and creeksta. Oh the memories.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
CDs, DVDs and videos are all alphabetized. All of my books are on the shelf by height. For some reason I have never been able to stand it when there is a little bitty short book in between two tall books. Why don't books come in a universal size like CDs, DVDs and videos do? Then everything could be alphabetized, and creeksta would be a happy girl.

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
I have trouble keeping the walk-in cooler in the Deli organized. But it isn't really my job, I just think I am one of the only ones that can't stand that 4 departments share this tiny cooler and every day you walk in and nothing is in the same place it was the day before. So you spend twice as much time searching for something you could find yesterday when you didn't need it.

Friday Five for 16 May 2003

1. What drinking water do you prefer -- tap, bottle, purifier, etc?
Tap water from Lander, Wyoming. I have lived/visited lots of different places and it doesn't matter what part of town you are in it taste the same as it does from the faucet in my parent's kitchen. Best darn tap water on earth.
The water here in Grand Forks is icky especially at my house, I can only drink it if it has been sitting in the refrigerator for a couple hours and is really super cold. So I mostly drink bottled water here.

2. What are your favorite flavor of chips?
I like the Salt and Vinegar Pringles but I don't ever buy them, because I am the only one who likes them and they would get old before I ate them all. At work (which is pretty much the only place I eat potato chips) I get the regular Doritos.

3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
Tiffany and I used to make this super yummy cheesy broccoli rice and grilled chicken breast thing that I was craving the other night. I cook lots of stuff with grilled chicken breast and pasta or rice so I guess that would be my favorite.

4. How do you have your eggs?
I get sick if I eat eggs with uncooked yolks, I think it was because when we were younger my mom loved to cook soft-boiled eggs for dinner so much of the time. Anytime I have eggs the yolks have to be popped and fully cooked. I usually like eggs when they are in the form of a western omelet, with ham and green peppers and onions.

5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?
Ang cooked steaks, corn on the cob and baked potatoes on the grill Monday night (the 19th, since I am so late getting this one done,) the baked potatoes were wonderful, I had to throw my steak back on the grill because it was a little to bloody but when all was said and done it was great.
