complaining and rambling

Last night was my first night back at Taco Bell since my trip. It actually wasn't all that bad. The time seemed to fly by. Closing is a pain in the butt now because we are waiting to get an inspection by the company that makes all the regulations for Tri-Con. Anyways they have been stopping in a while before close and stores have been busted for bagging the line, which just makes dishes easier at close because you only have half the normal amount. So last night dishes really sucked and because I can't stand how everyone else just makes sure all the grease is off the dishes and doesn't really care if the little bit of food chunks are I do the dishes really good, so it takes me a little longer than others. So the shift manager ended up finishing the dishes because I was taking to long. Doesn't bother me I was tired of doing them. I had to take apart half of the hot line just to get my dishes, because Randy decided he was going to help finish cleaning the lobby before he did the line. That is what slowed me down the most.

I don't really understand why everyone is always in such a hurry to get out of there. I am tired of loosing 30 minutes the nights that I close because everyone else is in a hurry to go home. That is at least $3 a night that I loose, it doesn't really seem like much but they add up. When I am on the schedule for 32.5 hours I would like to work that whole 32.5 hours. I have $230/month rent, plus phone, electric, car insurance, cell phone and credit card bills. Every thirty minutes that I lose at work makes it a little harder for me to get those bills paid.

I sat down the other day and wrote a bunch of checks. After paying all of the bills from the beginning of the month out of a $365 paycheck I had $60 left. Then we went and bought some groceries and I spent $40 dollars there. The money just goes so fast even if you are watching what you are spending on it and where you are spending it.

On a less complaining note...The trip home to Wyoming went well, it wasn't nearly long enough though. For as long as I had to spend in the stupid car to get there next time I want to stay for a whole month. It took us 15 hours to get home to Wyoming and it took 17 hours to get back here to North Dakota, we were actually only driving for about 16 hours on the way home. Jennifer was hungry for real food when we got to Bismarck for gas (we hadn't stopped and got food the whole trip) so we spent an hour in Bismarck so we could eat Wendy's.

We had this silly party for all of the May birthdays (Jennifer, Darrick, Maron Summer, my cousin Justina's new baby, and myself) and my cousin Erica's graduation on the first of June. My grandma was disappointed that Maron wasn't born on the 16th, if she had been then both of her great-grandbabies would have been born on the same day 2 years apart. That day also happens to be Jennifer's birthday.

Yesterday Jennifer and I went out to the pawnshops and thrift stores looking for a lawn mower. There is this thrift store here run by the Dakota Boys Ranch that gets donations from Target. We went in there and found two pairs of brand new Roller Blades, still in the boxes one for $15 and one for $20. I have been planning on getting new blades for ever it was just a matter of getting the money together so that I could. Anyways I spent my birthday cash on Roller Blades for my sister and myself. Jennifer’s are a really pretty yellow color I wish mine were that color instead of just plain old gray. I put them on this morning when I got off from work. They are a little to big for me but nothing that two pairs of socks won't fix.

I think I have rambled for long enough now that I will shut up, that and my alarm clock is driving me crazy, I forgot to turn it off when the cats woke me up an hour and a half before I wanted to get up. So now it is just beeping away back in my bedroom.

Later...
