cats and puzzles don't mix
Thursday night I got off work at 10pm, it is a nice change from the mornings when I get off at 3am. I thought I will go home, finish reading the last 50 pages of "The Two Towers" and go to bed early. I walked through the door into our living room and there sat the devil all in little pieces just waiting for me to put it back together. I am a sucker for puzzles. Always have been. I spent the next four hours turning every puzzle piece right side up and finding the last fifteen edge pieces. Then I put together the majority of the sea shore. I was crushed when I woke up Friday afternoon and saw the puzzle in pieces again. It wasn't until yesterday morning when I got home from work that I saw the puzzle sitting on the little counter like breakfast bar thing we have. According to Jennifer exactly what I feared had happened the cats had gone crazy on the trunk that the puzzle was on to start out with so she had to rebuild all of what I had already built. This morning when I came home from work, the puzzle was once again falling to pieces. I fixed all but the two missing edge pieces. Now I say if we ever find those edge pieces, even if Jennifer doesn't want to glue the sucker together we are. I'm pretty sure by the time we actually get the dumb thing totally together we will have practically built it 4 or 5 times. That is my story for now, the moral of it is don't let your sister's fiance teach the stupid cats to jump up onto the tables and counters, especially when they have been so good at staying off of them, it is a whole new playground to them and you can't unteach them no matter how much you try.
