Friday Five for 11 April 2003

1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
The Jackknife Band at the Wyoming State fair sometime when I was in H.S. I forgot about it the until the other day when I saw their CD. (My aunt bought it for me.) Until the other day, I always said that my first concert was All, Limp, Less Than Jake and one other band. My mom said I saw The Charlie Daniels Band with my uncle before I was even a year old. My uncle says it was someone else, but he did confirm that my mom was telling the truth when she said I got to dance on stage with who ever it was. I don't remember it.

2. Who is your favorite artist/band now?
I really don't have a favorite favorite, it all kind of depends on my mood. Today I totally felt like listening to Poe, tomorrow Smashing Pumpkins or Wheatus maybe my favorite.

3. What's your favorite song?
Evanescense, Bring Me To Life. For right now any way.

4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
I have always wanted to learn how to play the bass guitar. I love to sing, but I am too insecure (my dad once told me I had a terrible voice and no matter how many people say I have a beautiful singing voice once I know they are listening I can't sing anymore.) Maybe if I had the ablilty to play bass, I would be able to keep my mind occupied enough to overcome my fear of singing infront of people. When my uncle asked me to sing at his wedding I wouldn't do it unless my sister sang with me, I wasn't confident enough to do it on my own.

5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
One of The Beatles or Steven Tyler. That is what I grew up listening too.
